Geniq ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

• Challenge scores and completion data
• Leaderboard rankings
• App usage statistics
• Device information (model, OS version)

Data Stored Locally

• Game progress and preferences
• Cached quotes and challenges

3. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google)

• Authentication: Securely manages user sign-in
• Cloud Firestore: Stores user profiles and game data

Quote APIs

We fetch inspirational quotes from Quotable API and ZenQuotes API. These services do not receive any personal information.

Analytics & Error Monitoring

To keep Geniq reliable and easy to use, we use two additional processors:

• PostHog — product analytics. It records which pages and features are used so we can improve the experience. For signed-in users this may be associated with your account ID and email; we do not sell this data.
• Sentry — error and performance monitoring. When something breaks, Sentry captures the technical details (and, for signed-in users, your account ID and email) so we can diagnose and fix it.

Session replay. When enabled, PostHog and Sentry may record an anonymised playback of how a screen was used to help us reproduce bugs. Replay is privacy-first: all text inputs are masked and sensitive elements (including payment fields) are blocked, so we never capture what you type, your password, or your card details.

Lifecycle & product emails. We may send occasional proactive emails — for example, help getting started or a reminder if a Geniq Pro upgrade was interrupted. Every such email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Data Security

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• You may delete your account at any time
• Upon deletion, your data is removed within 30 days

• Portability: Export your data in a readable format

7. Children's Privacy

Geniq is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
